Brian Eden - Solar Tompkins Chair,   Town of Ithaca

Brian Eden is a resident of the Village of Cayuga Heights and represents the Town of Ithaca on the Solar Tompkins Board, which he chairs. He currently serves as the Chair of the Tompkins County Environmental Management Council (EMC), Chair of the Tompkins County Hillview Road Landfill Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), and  the Tompkins County Ethics Advisory Board. Brian also has served on the Town of Ithaca's Energy Action Plan Advisory Committee and the Tompkins County Energy Roadmap Steering Committee. Brian lived off grid from 1975 – 2002, and his sole source of electricity was solar panels from 1980 – 2002. He also participated in the presentation of the Building and Heating with the Climate in Mind and frequently meets with commercial developers on their energy models.
