support for lansing businesses

HeatSmart Support for Commercial & Industrial Facilities in Lansing

HeatSmart will assist owners of existing buildings to improve their energy efficiency as well as to source their needs for energy from the electrical grid thus reserving more capacity for those having process needs for natural gas. To accomplish this, HeatSmart has acquired special funding to support the activity and partnered with TCAD and the Tompkins County Business Energy Advisor (BEA) program to support local Lansing businesses.  This augments existing support that BEA offers throughout Tompkins County by reducing the minimum size of eligible buildings and supporting retrofits as well as new buildings.

If your commercial building is 10,000 sq. ft. or larger we recommend you contact Andrea Aguirre, Senior Planner and Energy Specialist for Tompkins County Department of Planning and Sustainability, by email at gaguirre@tompkins-co.org or by telephone at (607) 274 – 5560.

Businesses working with BEA can be connected to all available incentives.
