Thom Mayo

Thom grew up in Ithaca and now lives in the Town of Groton in his retrofit net-zero home with his son, two cats. After years working as an electrical and HVAC Technician, Energy Auditor, Geothermal and solar energy Designer/Installer, he moved into renewable energy Project Management working on hundreds of residential solar energy projects, several local medium-sized commercial solar projects, and several large scale solar energy projects including New York's first Community Distributed Generation (CDG) project located in the Town of Ulysses.
He now works as a Code Enforcement Official for the City of Ithaca and co-owns a small business designing and installing custom renewable and clean heating systems.
