Join for a tour of this 1800s farmhouse in Lansing which is heated and cooled with Fujitsu and LG air source heat pumps. The heat pumps are powered by solar panels on the barn roof. There is also a rental cottage on the property with its own heat pump system.
The house was built in 1902 and it’s on city gas. Before adding air source heat pumps they relied on a steam boiler in the basement feeding thirteen radiators throughout the house. They had no air conditioning.Six indoor air handlers (three upstairs and three on the ground level) are now efficiently heating and cooling this home.
